BBC Bias. Or Is it Propaganda.

For those who are unaware, the BBC screen a programme on Thursday nights called question time. Politicians, celebrities and journalists make up the panel who debate questions put by a studio audience.
The reality is that a certain percentage of the audience are hand picked and ask questions that seem to be loaded in favour of present government policies.
Last night for instance, the last question asked was about middle East policy. It quickly degenerated into anti Russian propaganda. Putin was blamed for everything except the crucifixion of Jesus.
No mention was made of the UK/USA police of regime change throughout the middle East since 9/11. Only film director Ken Loach mentioned Tony Blair's crimes that led to UK involvement in the Iraq war. There was no mention of the bombing of civilians in Mosul by coalition forces or, the war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza. Especially, there was no mention whatsoever of the fact that UK weapons are being used by Saudi Arabia to slaughter civilian men, women and children in Yemen. The last point compounded by the UK foreign minister, Boris Johnson and I quote, "If we didn't sell weapons to Saudi Arabia, someone else would" A pathetic reason put forward by a pathetic human being. One of the worst things is that the BBC by showing this become guilty by association. The propaganda spouted by the alleged journalists who work for the BBC on a daily basis is sickening. They accuse Russia of horrendous war crimes and yet never produce one shred of concrete evidence.
I could rant on for days about this but I will end it now before anger takes over completely.

US Election.

You can't help but laugh at the mainstream media coverage of the debacle that is the US presidential election campaign. It's the fact that they take it seriously. Trump or Clinton, Clinton or Trump. The public are told that they have a choice. Lie, they have no choice. Both candidates are ruled by one set of corporations or another. Clinton for instance is a liar, Benghazi for one. Trump just says the first thing that comes into his head no matter who he annoys. If the American voters think that anything will change, post election day, they are delusional. They were promised change by G. and G.W. Bush and also Obama. What exactly changed? Apart from yet more involvement in regime change, nothing else has changed. Corporations still rule the White House and banksters still rob their customers blind.
The French had the right idea to herald change in the 17th century. Got it in one, revolution. I'm not advocating that the American people use violence, am I?

UK Schoolyard Politics.

It's Wednesday and so it's time for the farce that is Prime Minister's questions. The reason it is a  farce is that the PM never gives a straight answer to any question put to her. She side steps and blatantly avoids everything. The questions asked by her Tory MPs are obviously planted to show the government in a favourable light. The only time the PM gets a hard time is when SNP MPs ask a question. Needless to say she doesn't actually answer their questions either.
The upshot is, PM's question time is pointless.

Bogus man Made Climate Change. 'Brexit' Shambles.

First of all I see that the bogus man made climate change (not global warming anymore) Nazis are at it again. Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere has reached 400 parts per million. Who says it? UN experts. Who are they? We needn't worry about that, they're experts. As usual this is the annual attempt to put forward a case for a global carbon tax. Well, they can shove their carbon tax up their arses.
The farce that is 'brexit' reaches new depths of absurdity. Theresa Mays cabinet can't even agree on what 'brexit' actually means. She was effectively snubbed be EU heads of government at last week's summit meeting and, she wants to give Gibraltar, The Isle of Man and even the city of London special powers to negotiate a deal with the EU. However despite a decisive mandate from the Scottish people to remain in the EU, we will not be given similar powers. And so, a government that Scotland didn't vote for lead by a PM that nobody voted for dictates to a population of five million what they can and can't do. Do we live in a democracy or a dictatorship? I will let you decide.

Politics is a Mess.

The world has gone totally mad. The west is up in arms over what Assad and Putin are allegedly doing in Syria while selling what amounts to weapons of mass destruction to Saudi Arabia for them to carpet bomb Yemeni civilians. Also, 'coalition' (NATO) forces are bombing Isis fighters in the Iraqi city of Mosul putting the lives of up to one million civilians still living in the city, at risk. This is fully justified by Obama while, when Assad and Putin are trying to rid Allepo of Isis, it's called a crime against humanity. The double standards of western governments is staggering. The western mainstream media are willing participants in this charade. The sad thing is that millions of people believe wholeheartedly everything they are told. Sadly, this story will run and run.
The UK is in the throws of trying to decide how we will leave the EU. The rhetoric surrounding this is becoming more and more acrimonious by the day. Both sides of the argument are trading insults and forgetting exactly what they are supposed to be doing, and that is, ensuring that the UK leaves in a dignified and fair manner. In a sentence, both sides are being childish in the extreme.
I'm starting to get angry about it all and so I will finish for the time being.

UK Institutional Elite Perpetrated Child Abuse

I have been avoiding this subject for too long but, it's now time to give it an airing.
This will be the first in a series of posts about this subject.
This has been a scandal that has been bubbling just under the surface for decades and it was only the uncovering of Jimmy Saville's vile excesses that has at last brought it to the surface. The extent of his crimes are even now still being uncovered. Among the other people accused of child sex abuse (CSA) are now dead Liberal Party politician Cyril Smith, now dead Conservative politician Leon Brittan and Labour Party peer Lord Greville Janner. Due to Janner's "dementia" the justice system have declined to prosecute him despite incontrovertible evidence that proves his guilt. This is despite Lord Janner attending the House of Lords to vote on issues a total of 203 times in the last year, also claiming his £300 per day expenses. When he was first named in the press, he then had the presence of mind to sign the deeds of his properties over to his relations.
Unfortunately since starting this post, Janner himself has died.
The so called "Independent" public enquiry into historical child sex abuse has been beset by controversy. I think we are now at chairman number four as for one reason or another the first three have seen fit to resign.
The enquiry is due to publish it's findings I think in 2020. I won't be holding my breath.
Till next time.

UK General Election Result

The result of the UK general election result surprised everyone. Well, the level of surprise depends on exactly where you live in the UK. Scotland for instance, was not really surprised by the result even the scale of it was predicted weeks in advance. In England however, what happened was a huge surprise. The fact that the Conservative Party won an won with an outright majority, albeit a narrow majority, took everyone by surprise. The opinion polls had been predicting a hung parliament for weeks. It was in Scotland that a seismic change took place that will have a huge impact on the political stage. The Scottish National Party won 56 out of the 59 seats in Scotland and took them by overturning huge majorities. The highest percentage swing was 39% a UK record. The Labour party shadow foreign secretary was defeated by a 20 year old Glasgow University student who works in her local fish and chip shop in Paisley to help with her finances. Jim Murphy, the leader of the Labour Party in Scotland, was predicted to hold his seat but, lost it with a huge swing of 20%.
The result leaves Scotland with one Labour Party MP, one Conservative Party MP and one Liberal Democrat MP. Unprecedented in the entire history of politics in Scotland.
What does it mean for politics in the UK? At this stage no one knows. It will definitely make politics far more interesting in the future. I nearly forgot to mention that the leaders of both the Labour and Liberal Democrat Parties resigned the day after the election. The main opposition party, Labour, are at the moment a party without a leader, without a policy direction and most of all without credibility. During the campaign they lied as a matter of course, even on the live TV debates. Their campaign failed on the doorsteps, in the election meetings and in TV debates. In my humble opinion, the cause of their demise can be traced back to that arch warmonger and professional liar, Tony Blair. His influence is still hanging over the Labour Party like the sword of Damocles and, if they want to get some credibility back, they have to rid themselves of these "Blairites" who want to drag what was once the party of social justice as far as possible to the right to the extent that they are indistinguishable from the Conservatives. This country, and I mean the whole UK, needs a credible opposition with policies that are fair, progressive and relevant to a modern society. At the moment, the only party that encompasses those values are the Scottish National Party and hopefully they will live up to the principles they stand by.
There is a war going on in the UK and it's a war of class. The establishment and the media will try and tell you that class is non-existent now but it's a lie. The 1% don't seek to govern us. They seek to rule us and with an iron fist. However, the population are waking up and are aware of what is going on. The future of this country will depend on the people coming together and speaking out against social injustice and greed.
Right now, politics in this country has become more interesting and I hope, entertaining. I hope the combined opposition will be able to rein in the excesses of the Conservatives I won't hold my breath.
Till next time.
